Chili morita produced in Mexico, is a dried and smoked pepper, very similar to chili mora pepper, however slightly smaller. It has a smooth feel, its skin is shiny, similar to chili mora. It is about 3cm long and 2cm wide.
The degree of spiciness of this pepper depends on its size. Small peppers are the spiciest, medium ones are less spicy, and the big ones are the mildest. Quite frequently used in Mexican cuisine as a spice for a variety of dishes: pozole, enchiladas, salsas.
