Tamarind fruit is edible raw, and is also used to make aguas frescas cooling drinks. Fruit pulp (young fruit is very sour, older - sweeter) is used as a spice in Asian and Latin American cuisine. The pulp obtained from fruit is used for home dyeing of clothes, blankets, kilims, as well as for dyeing silk from blue to green and for bleaching palm leaves. Jewelry is made from tamarind seeds. The powder obtained from them is used to cure fabrics (it has similar but better properties than starch). The wood is durable and very hard.
Composition: Sugar, Tamarind Pulp, Corn Syrup, Iodized salt, Citric acid, Ground chili and sodium benzoate to preserve freshness.
